Privacy policy

MyHealth is a service run by University Hospitals Birmingham. All the health data you access through MyHealth is covered by the Trust’s main Privacy Policy, which you can read here: https://www.uhb.nhs.uk/legal-and-regulatory/privacy/privacy-notice-for-patients/

University Hospitals Birmingham is the sole Data Controller.

Your MyHealth account has been created with your consent. You have the right to withdraw this consent, and have your MyHealth account deleted, at any time. Please contact myhealthsupport@uhb.nhs.uk if you wish to do this.

Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on myhealth@UHB (our site). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • User details and activity may be retained for the audit purposes as required by us. We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research or service improvement purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
  • We may approach you if there are medical research studies that you may wish to participate in.
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.

IP Addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns.

Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. Access to our site requires users to consent to the use of Cookies. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site. Some of the cookies we use collect information about how visitors use our site.

.AspNetCore.Antiforgery.<unique number> This cookie is used to prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. Session cookie - deleted when you close your browser.

Where we store your personal data

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.
